The Kicking Horse offers the most popular and exciting river adventure in the Canadian Rockies.

Whitewater and the spectacular scenery of the Kicking Horse Canyon provide the ingredients of a memorable river experience. This trip has it all, moving first at a leisurely pace, the tempo picks up as we enter the canyons and get into a whitewater roller coaster second to none. On this river our experienced professional guides navigate the rafts through the rapids.

Morning & Afternoon Whitewater:

Both of these exciting trips consist of the whitewater section of the Kicking Horse River from Palliser, including Portage Rapids, Shot Gun and Roller Coaster.

Introduction to Whitewater:

We have selected the calmer sections of this river to introduce you to the beautiful scenery and the fun of river rafting. The trips start from the boundary of Yoho National Park near Banff and Lake Louise and bring you halfway towards the town of Golden. We recommend this trip for the entire family!

Ultimate Whitewater: Paddle trip with oar assist

This terrific trip combines the Portage Rapids of the upper Kicking Horse with the continuous whitewater challenge of the lower Canyon. This trip includes a portage, ends in the town of Golden, requires prior rafting experience and is restricted to persons over the age of 19 years.

Alpine Rafting Company reserves the right to cancel or postpone due to adverse water conditions. Minimum numbers required for trip.

Multi Day Expedition Trips:

We now offer challenging multi day trips on some of British Columbia's remote wilderness rivers. These trips are geared for the experienced aggressive paddler who wants more than the Kicking Horse has to offer.

General Information:

Our courteous professional river guides and our friendly support staff will do their utmost to make your trip a pleasant and memorable experience.

Our company and guides are licensed by the Province of British Columbia.

You should bring:

• Tennis shoes or sneakers (they will get wet).
• Shorts or a bathing suit.
• Polar fleece or wool sweater, rain jacket
• Towel and extra clothing for the end of the trip.

We Provide:

• Experienced, full qualified and licensed river guides,
• Quality river and safety equipment.
• Government approved life jackets.
• Wet suits, helmets and spray jackets.
• Transportation to and from the river.

Payment:

In order to confirm your space, full payment is required. We accept VISA, Mastercard, American Express, cash, and travellers cheques. Special group rates and programs are available - please inquire. Seniors discount 10%.

Assumption of Risks:

Although whitewater rafting is enjoyed by persons of all ages, many of which have no previous experience, there are definitely risks involved in undertaking an expedition down one of British Columbia's whitewater rivers. All participants are required to sign a comprehensive assumption of risks and release of liability and waiver agreement prior to departure.
