What To Do
- Excellent hiking opportunities exist - from a casual stroll on the valley floor to a strenuous climb along canyon walls. There are miles of cattle and deer trails throughout the property. Terrain varies from cool mountain forest to prairie grassland, incuding two bubbling creeks and of course the striking badlands. Your dog will love to sniff the exciting smells along the way.
- The beautiful scenery provides plenty of photo and artistic potential. Experience a wide variety of wildlife. One may see deer, coyote, fox, squirrel, gopher and beaver. Birdlife varies from bluebird to golden eagle, including owl and Canada goose. You will probably come across some cattle, too!
- The Drumheller area is known for dinosaur bones and fossiles, Ghost Pine Creek is no exception. Indian artifacts have also been identified. You must tell us of any finds as there are obligations that must be followed. Guided tours of a fossil bed are available.
- Your party will likely be the only one for miles around...- Relax! Get away from it all! Sit out on the deck in the moonlit evening under a starry sky and enjoy a chorus of coyotes.
- Feed and facilities are available for horses.
- Cross country skiers will appreciate the difference between Ghost Pine and the mountains.
