Starting out from Pyramid Stables, 4 km. from Jasper, near Pyramid Lake, a network of trails offers the finest scenic Trail Rides with spectacular views of the Rocky Mountains and the Athabasca Valley.
Guided Trail Rides:
All our trail rides are led by qualified trail guides. Our trails are circular and have been carefully laid out to offer spectacular views, lakeshore rides and a good opportunity to see wildlife. Riding experience is not necessary. Please Reserve Ahead

One Hour Trip:
This trail follows ridges high above the Athabasca Valley providing a fantastic view of the Athabasca River, the Jasper townsite, 5 colorful lakes and the Jasper Park Lodge. This trail is approximately 6 km. long.
Two Hour Trip:
This trail leads to Patricia Lake and Cottonwood Creek, with its many beaver dams and then circles out onto the ridges described for the one hour trail ride. This trail is approximately 12 km. long and is our most popular trip.
Three Hour Trip:
This trail takes you to Pyramid and Patricia Lakes as well as Cottonwood Creek with its many beaver dams. It also takes you up on the high ridges overlooking Pyramid Bench and the Athabasca Valley with its many colorful lakes. A spectacular trip with breathtaking views! This trail is approximately 18 km. long.
Special Group Bar-B-Ques
Special for tour operators and groups of 20 and over, we can make arrangements to round off your day with a Western Style Bar-B-Que!
Pony Rides:
For children too small for trail rides (5 years and under), we offer Shetland Pony rides. Parents may lead their children around the area on these small ponies.
Carriage Rides:
Our elegant horse carriage is available in Jasper as a taxi service, touring vehicle or for special occasions.

While we take every reasonable step to ensure our customer's enjoyment and safety, one must recognize the existence of an inherent element of risk associated with hoseback riding. Consequently, "Each customer will be required to sign a waiver. By doing so, the customer gives up the right to sue Pyramid Riding Stables Ltd. and 510436 Alberta Ltd., carrying on business as Pyramid Stables and "Horseback Riding" and their employees, representatives, officers and agents, for any injuries sustained by the customer howsoever caused."
