newnew EdHelper.com : Here is another excellent resource for teachers looking for lesson plans but more importantly the categories are divided between lesson plans, resources, and WebQuests. The WebQuests themselves are a goldmine for teachers looking for something that their students can do as a class or small group in the computer lab that is curriculum related.

newnew The Chalkboard : This site offers three areas of resources for teachers: Things For Class Services, Awards, and Jobs. Things For Class Services includes detailed lesson plans and programs you can use in the classroom. This is the most useful section for teachers outside the U.S.

newnew ENC Online : This site is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education, and it features a variety of curriculum materials for K-12 math and science students. ENC highlights 13 new outstanding math and science Internet sites each month. They also have an electronic edition of ENC's many print publications including a newsletter, curriculum catalogs, and refor information.

newnew The Franklin Institute Science Museum : A great site for anyone but teachers will enjoy its teaching aids. Minutes from ME details science and computer projects you can do with your students. The Inquiry Attic archives lists dozens of classroom activities.

newnew The Global Schoolhouse : This site offers activites teachers can do in their classrooms. Your students can create their own newspaper by registering for Newsday, compete in the CyberFair International Competition, and brush up on their geography by playing the GeoGame. Many activities require you to register you and your class at Lightspan.com. The site contains links to other educational project sites, as well.

ERIC: Sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education, The ERIC database contains over 850,000 bibliographic citations and digests (as of 9/97).

The web-based Search ERIC Wizard provides an interactive, front-end for searching the ERIC database based on the carefully developed ERIC Thesaurus of Descriptors to build high-quality, effective searches. In addition, the Wizard now allows patrons to load any of over 70 prepackaged high-quality search strategies on hot educational topics. Once loaded the patron can revise the strategies to suit their needs or use the strategies as a starting point. The strategies were developed by eight of the best reference librarians in the ERIC system.

Eisenhower National Clearinghouse on Line: This site features a variety of curriculum materials for K-12 math and science students. In addition to lesson plans, suggested activities, publications, and hyper links to other math and science resources, this site highlights 13 new outstanding math and science Internet sites each month.

Galileo: Galileo is a collection of scores of science lesson plans for k-12 science teachers for classroom use.

The Incredible Art Dept: This web site includes lesson plans for Elementary, Jr. High/Middle School, High School, Undergraduate, and Graduates.

Teacher.Net Lessons: Here is another excellent site for busy teachers to find lesson plans and to contribute your own. This site has hundreds of lesson plans divided in several categories covering all subject areas and all grade levels.

Lesson Plans and Resources for Social Studies Teachers: This site is created by Dr. Marty Levine, professor of Secondary Education at the California State University, Northridge (CSUN). The intention of the site is to provide quality social studies resources that a teacher, student and anyone interested can access through the Internet. As Social Studies integrates well with other subjects, this site also has potential resources for Language Arts, Geography, Home Economics, Science, History,Law, Economics and other subject teachers.

Busy Teachers Site: Another site devoted to helping teachers come up with ideas and Lesson Plans.

The pH Factor, was produced and is affiliated with the Miami Museum of Science. What can be found at this particular site is an educational resource directed at elementary and middle school teachers.The site won the "site of the month" award, awarded by the Eisenhower National Clearinghouse.
