Contest Winner! Congratulations to Doris Tschetter - Hinton, AB for her winning entry to our 2005 Memoir ContestDoris won a weekend for two at the Black Cat. The entries were judged by Amber Hayward.This is the winning entry:
My life had taken a turn. My son was diagnosed with mental illnes and my best girl friend died from cancer. There was stress and sadness in my life. So to nourish my soul, I signed up for the beautiful Art Workshop. I was so welcomed - and with all the artistic creativity I was nourished! The horses were grazing, the birds were singing, the flowers were blooming, the fire was crackling in the fireplace, and I felt so embraced. I came home refreshed and with beautiful artwork to boot! I would love to take my husband out to the Ranch for a relaxing weekend - so he can share in the joy I had. Our anniversary is coming up in May and two days at the Ranch would be simply marvellous!
