Winter Photography Workshop

March 13-15, 2009

Rates - $225.00 per person, based on double occupancy. $325.00 for single occupancy. Rates includes accommodation Friday and Saturday, 3 meals Saturday, plus breakfast and lunch on Sunday, as well as instruction. Cost for workshop only is $60 per person.

Hilary will instruct, through outdoor photo shoots, nature photography with colour or black and white film, slides or prints. You should be comfortable with your camera and have basic camera skills. Much attention will be paid to detail and the "art of seeing". Teaching creativity with your camera will be paramount. For those whose camera will permit the technique, in camera double exposures will be taught. If there is interest, Hilary will set you up to play with hand colouring black and white photos. You are invited to bring two of your most creative shots for critique.

Hilary will expect you to shoot at least three rolls of film for developing. Time will be spent looking at the photos of all students in the course. Looking at other artist's work is a very important part of learning photography, as is sharing of ideas and "seeing through other eyes".

Each photographer comes into the course with a unique way to express themselves. It is Hilary's hope that each student will increase their creativity and have a fresh way of looking at the world around them. Come to play, learn and have fun
