B.J.D. Electric Ltd. is putting on a new face. An electrifying new company logo - complete with lightning bolt - will help modernize the company's look heading into the next century. Although the logo reflects the company's commitment to stay on top of modern technology and stay ahead of swiftly changing times, one thing won't change, customers can still rely on good old-fashioned "quality" service.
Our Lethbridge - based company specializes in industrial, commercial, agricultural electrical services for all applications from the earliest stages of new construction to project completion and everything in between. And even after a job is done, it really isn't. B.J.D. also provides regular upgrading as their clients needs expand.
With origins in oilfield electrical installations, B.J.D. began concentrating on agricultural projects in the early 1980's. Soon a niche was found in grain processing plants such as feed mills and canola processing facilities. It was a natural progression to get involved with grain elevators and later Inland Grain Terminals because of our expertise in locations considered "hazardous" by the Canadian Electric Code. All of our electricians are constantly trained and updated in the latest code directives. The safety of our employees and those working around us is integral to all of our electrical field operations.
Typical projects include wiring equipment installations for all electrical components from the incoming primary service through all motor, control, lighting and auxiliary electrical systems. This guarantees the customer consistent quality from job to job and at every location.
"We are continually automating to new standards," says owner Bryan Dorren. We at B.J.D. believe that each customer deserves our greatest respect and expertise. When the project is finished and the outcome is clear, our goal is to be remembered as an excellent contractor who produced all that was promised -- a contractor worthy of our customer's repeat business and positive recommendation.
B.J.D. is very proud of our past, excited about today and looking forward to our future. Our abilities have been proven again and again throughout Western Canada. As we move toward the turn of the century, we will continue to review and upgrade our systems, educate our personnel in the latest technology and remain committed to the excellence expected of our profession.
The electrical needs of industrial, commercial and agricultural sectors throughout Western Canada are the company's mainstay, no matter what those needs. Many of the company's clients are local, such as Canbra Foods, Maple Leaf Potatoes and the Versacold Group.
Although B.J.D. blankets all of Western Canada, they maintain only one office, and that's in Lethbridge. The company employs about 20 people, most of them journeyman electricians who are highly skilled and knowledgeable and can perform and maintain at all levels in the electrical industry.
Bryan and his wife Eleanor started the business in 1980. Together they built the business from the ground up, working hard to develop it into the enterprise it is today. Bryan is optimistic of his ability to meet the changing needs of his clients as he prepares to take B.J.D. into the 21st. Century.
