Washington & Howe Campaign Game

Washington and Howe is a variant of Wolfe and Montcalm used to game the American Revolutionary War. Admittedly, the variant is not a complete study. For one thing, it lacks a significant political aspect (what's revolution without politics?). Also the whole of the Deep South is omitted. We are assuming, as many historians do, that the British failure to subdue the northern and central colonies virtually guaranteed American independence, by the end of 1779. The game also abstracts the naval operations. Within these restrictions Washington and Howe makes a fine little game and an excellent scenario generator for all the campaigns of the American War of Independence, save one.
