Great Site!!!!!
I was introduced tonight to your site!
All I can say is WHOW!!!!!!
I will spend some time reading all the pages on your site in the next few days.
I must congratulate you on all the information you are sharing with the world!
More importantly it's told by a Metis!

AWESOME!
Fantastic site!
Well worth reading again and again.
I hope you have considered publishing this in a book,
especially for those Metis without computers.
Thank you for your time and effort you have put forth to build this informative

May you continue to walk in the path of beauty.

Your colors on your home page is so bright, neon lime green,
that it is very difficult to read.
Those jumping and spinning beads and moving dots cause migraine headaches.
After two pages, I had to quit

A fantastic website! what else can I say.
I just wanted to let you know that your website is very educational

governments and from other people of this country.
Keep up the good work.

Your list of the Glycemic Index's are very helpful
they are also extremely frustrating.

I was thrilled to find your web pages on Garneau genealogy and congratulate you
on a fine job.
I found the history of the name very interesting.
I know it's a dream but wouldn't it be wonderful if I could say;
Ah, so that's what happened to Mary Garneau, born 1825 Quebec
and be able to tell who her parents were.
Thank you again for putting the Garneau Genealogy on the web.

I noticed in your photo gallery section a small error concerning the picture
"Five of the earliest Indian inhabitants of St. Mary's Falls 1855"
(actually it was a big error in people identification)
I was speaking with David Hawkins from TVO Ontario regarding Metis history
we both spoke highly of your website and the vast amount of content it holds.
Take care Dick and keep up the great work.

I am a Metis of French-Canadian descent,
and have been doing research on my ancestors for almost five years.
My main problem, of course, has been to trace my first western ancestors back to
Quebec.
You cannot image my joy, then, by coming across your history.
I finally found the missing link...
an explanation and history of how most of our ancestors made their way
from Quebec to Red River. Thanks for your work in safeguarding our

Who are we?
The Northern Ontario Metis around Lake Nipigon and Lake Superior
now refer to themselves as Woodland Metis.
Even today the Metis Nation of Canada bases their membership
by Red River genealogical records.
We are Halfbreeds but not Metis in the eyes of the Red River Metis.
Maybe we are Lake Nipigon Metis or Lake Superior Metis?
We achieved Provincial, Federal and International acceptance
but are still not regarded by the Metis of Red River as real Metis.
Just a few pondering thoughts.

I just wanted to lend my moral support to the health related information on your

I have researched these topics for many years

I enjoy your Metis history site and am still reading it over.
This is an aspect of history that has long needed a voice.
I do think however you should lay out the history and not editorialize.
Do not make the mistake you accuse the Jesuits of,
and think that I am without a brain and incapable of drawing my own conclusions.
Also, reference to Massacre Island, a location error (being corrected).
As I reread my message to you, one part sounds quite a bit harsher than I meant
it to sound.
I am really enjoying your web-site. Many of our ancestral names appear.

I was just wondering after perusing your interesting site if you keep up with
the advances in dating techniques?
The radio carbon dating is accurate to within ± 700 years not 8,000 as
reported on your site.
This is due to ongoing research in the field that recognizes that carbon 14 is
not even throughout the years but fluctuates.
