I really am intrigued with your website and research. It is a magnum opus, unusual, perhaps unique, in content and scope.
As a New Englander with Southern US roots, your treatment of “origins” seems to apply to all of us.
I’ll have to return to the dgarneau pages.

John Haas  -  01  -  2010

I applaud you on your website.  Thank you for
accumulating and presenting such extensive information on our
indigenous history.  I am Metis, in the process of applying for registry.

Diane Dickert  -  01 -  2010

I'm doing some family history and ran across your website.
Your histories read like winter counts and it is
a real pleasure to read Canadian/American history from your Metis perspective.
I know how much work you have put into this and just wanted you to
know that it is well appreciated.

Darwin Horn  -  01  -  2010

found your site interesting
I just wanted to say I liked your site.. and hopefully one day we can all be proud of our heritage

Line Deroy Nelson  -  02  -  2010

Thank you for all the work you have put into your web site. It is a
treasure and I'm sure I an not the first to tell you so.  I am sort of
asking you for help, not extensive help but just your expert advice in how I
may uncover my husband, Robert William LaRouche's origins.
If in your vast knowledge of history, you run across any items or clues that
might help me, I'd be most appreciative of your sharing them with me. If
not then let me once again say how much I have enjoyed your wonderful site.
It has been an education.
[A start, framework was provided]

Sandra LaRouche  -  02  -  2010

Judy Morrison   -  02  -  2010

Thank you! You are genius.
I can't describe my emotions of following the lives of my early French ancestors.

 Paul Villaire ( Villers dit St. Louis)  -  02   -   2010

Boozhoo my friend!
First of all, miigwech for all of the work you have done telling the stories of the lives of our ancestors.
To tell their stories is to honor them!
I have often visited your website where I have spent many, many hours going back in time.
Again, thank you so much!

James Paquette   -   02   -  2010

Hello- First I want to tell you how much I appreciate your site!
It has so much good information and great pictures.

Rachel Johnson  -  05  -  2010

I enjoy reading your work, New France, Quebec Culture and seeing the names
of my ancestry in your documents.

Paul Allaire   -  06  -   2010

I find your website is a wealth of information and quite fascinating. I study philosophy and history with a special interest in the origins of civilization and morality. I am specifically interested in 'big picture' history across large periods of time. Many history books I've read deal with to many specifics for my taste. Your web page on the other hand seems to paint the broad historical brush strokes I crave. Thanks for all your hard work!

all the best,

Erik SG Cap   -  06  -  2010

Hi; I would like to thank you for the invaluable work you have done in recording and posting on-line the information about the Metis culture and history and the fur trade.

Ken Vaughin   07  -  2010

I want to thank you for all your hard work.
I know how much time it has taken me to acquire the small amount of material on my family and for you to do so for everyone is incredible.  I really enjoy reading all of your information and would like you to know that there are people, like me, who truly think what you've accomplished is an amazing work of archives.

Ruth McMurray  -  07  -  2010

Hi - I love your web site and have looked through certain sections a number of times

Dear Cousin, RE: Your Wonderful Genealogical Research

Rene Cornel Yakkwak   -  07  -  2010

I have been looking through the information you have on the web.
In talking with an Expert Geneologist I was advised not to take what you have complied to heart.
My gut tells me differently and this is why I am writing you.
Your really know your History and I thank you for all the time and research you have put into it.

Birdie the Woman Bird   -  08  -  2010

Dick, I found your website a long time ago and read it extensively.
I was and remain extremely grateful for the wealth of information you provide on your site.
It encouraged me to continue on a path of discovery, one I believe will never end.
Dick, I find your site to be great reading.
It puts a wealth of information, clearly much of which was gathered from excellent sources,
in a timeline format that I find helpful and educative.

Sherry L. Gould   -   08   -   2010

I have just stumbled onto your website and am amazed at the volume of information!   I have only recently begun to do genealogy on my family and I am loving it, mysteries and puzzles included.  Once again, excellent job sir!

Chris Wery   09    -    2010

I'm a writer working on a screenplay about Antoine Laumet de La Mothe, sieur de Cadillac.
The events of my screenplay center mainly around the years 1710 and 1711.
In my search for background information I stumbled across your wonderful and fascinating site.
Would you be able to guide me to the source material for this list?
I'm striving for as much authenticity and realism for my project as possible and nothing delivers that in fiction better than believable characters.
This renter's list and any other documents that might be attached to the source could be very useful to me.

Jason Ahiquist  -  09  -   2010

Thank you for sharing your passion for the histories of this continent.
I quite often peruse your site, and am always interested and entertained

Erik Nelson   - 09  -   2010

Thank you for your hard work putting all this information online.
I have read some, but it's so voluminous, and I end up going off on fascinating tangents.

Just been perusing this web page, with both delight and amazement.
