My
first jump was made June 1992 near Ottawa, Ontario Canada. It was
the first time since I became of legal age to jump--that I could afford
to pay for a first jump course. For the next two years, being a typical
starving college student, the only way to pay for jumps was to earn money
packing student gear. Before long, I was teaching others to untangle and
pack parachutes the same way I had learned the year before.
After a thousand or so packs, a local rigger told me it was time to learn about rigging and in fall of 1994 I packed my first reserve. I currently have CSPA Rigger 'A' and FAA Master Rigger ratings along with CSPA Instructor 'A' , Coach 2 and PFF ratings. With over 1200 jumps, I am currently skydiving and instructing at SWOOP
In 1997, I started my own part time business for rigging and gear sales. It has been growing steadily year after year, building on a solid reputation for quality work and honest advice. I own and operate Ground Rush Sports out of my house in Newmarket.
