Software for Phase Equilibria in Natural Gas-Water Systems

Liquid-Liquid Equilibrium Calculations

Under some situations the pressure will be so large that the non-aqueous phase will completely liquefy. This is liquid-liquid equilibrium.

AQUAlibrium allows the user to perform liquid-liquid flashes. These are useful for determining the solubility of the liquefied natural gas components in water as well as for determining the amount of water in the non-aqueous liquid phase.

Follow this link for a sample output from an AQUAlibrium liquid-liquid flash.

A new liquid-liquid equilibrium module has been constructed. The purpose of this module is to calculate the equilibrium water content of a condensate (non-aqueous liquid phase). This is similar to the module in the VLE section for calculating the water content of the gas. This new module is available in the latest version of AQUAlibrium (2.0h). Registered users of AQUAlibrium have already received this update - free of charge.
