We recorded a carbon monoxide level of 125 PPM in the furnace room of this 6 year old home. We soon discovered why. The flue pipes had rusted out leaving several large holes. We discovered the home owner had upgraded the furnace just before moving in but the main chimney had been installed for a standard furnace and not re-sized to suit the high efficient furnace. This error created an acid in the chimney resulting in the premature rust formations
The condition was set right the next day. We had a satisfied client and also gained a new one as we inspected the home the owner of this dwelling eventually purchased
