The Paint-Box

"Paint-box" is used for the square area that includes the screen version of the plot that you are creating. To the top left of the paintbox is a small meassage which indicates the current projection in use. Clicking on the paintbox will create a data-point. It will be visible as a mark in the paintbox and can be seen in the data-list under the edit tab in the tabbed notebook, where it will have the comment"Click Point".

Most of the control of the appearance of the paintbox can be found under the 'Style' tab.

The Tabbed Notebook

Cauldron 2 gives you a vast array of 'controls' (which could be called 'functions' or 'operations'). These have been grouped under eight 'tabs'. Clicking one of these tabs at the top of the notebook will reveal a selection of controls. The tabs are: enter, edit, style, cont(our), print, sets, calc(ulations)s and file.
